This instructor-led course provides participants with knowledge of metadata modeling concepts for predictable reporting and analysis results Framework Manager. Participants will learn the entire metadata modeling process, from initial project creation, to publishing metadata on the Web, so that end users can easily author reports and analyze data. Cognos metadata modeling recommendations will be applied throughout the course. Participants will also create analysis objects by providing dimensional information to the model, learn how to apply security to the model, manage projects and packages, analyze the generated SQL for various queries, optimize and tune models for performance, manage Framework Manager projects, gain experience with advanced use of parameters, manage Member Unique Names, and model for drill-through. Data source used throughout the course include a relational database, based on operational data, and OLAP sources.
